In previously on clips there was an extra scene with Tess and Jack breaking up which never aired in the season finale.
Kevin, he lives. After hardly showing Allison's son they finally show him. The kid has grown.
James Callis should not do American accents. Although on further watch of the episode it my problem might be in part that feels like he watched some 1940s movies and tried to copy the men's demeanors and tones that always come across as carucatures of men with the added expressions and idioms of the 40s that would sound odd to someone in the 21st century.
Jack, Allison, Jo, Fargo and Henry in late 40s.
Need to rewatch because I was interrupted in the middle. Watched the second airing and mostly the middle was them figuring out how to get back to their time.
Jack/Allison here we go again. And it looks like it will be competing with James Callis' character and Allison.
Except upon returning to 2010 things aren't exactly the same. Tess is there as if she never even left so that is going to probably add another issue to whole Jack/Allison issue.
And oh dear, Henry is apparently married to a woman he barely knows. Kevin is no longer autistic. And yeah James Callis' character is in 2010. I sure hope they fix things by the time the season comes to an end. Although I rather like Tess being there.
Almost forgot, Zane is still a prisoner and obviously he and Jo never got together which means no proposal. This is one couple they better get back to normal. I liked them. And they say once two characters get together it's boring. Please.

Date: 2010-07-10 04:23 pm (UTC)James Callis did indeed sound a bit strange but I couldn't figure out what it was and I've to admit that it was supposed to be an American accent would have been the last thing I'd thought...
That Callis' character would end up in 2010 was clear when Carter said he left his phone in the other jacket...so I guess fixing the timeline's gonna be this seasons overall plotline...
I like Tess too but she seemed a bit off at the end too...
Breaking up Jo and Zane is no fun, they worked mighty fine imo, I don't know what it is with this stupid TV rule that a resolved couple isn't interesting anymore...
Oh yeah, and I totally see Tess ending up in 1947 with Doctor Grant at the end of the season. lol

Date: 2010-07-10 04:38 pm (UTC)I noticed a couple of times James Callis slipped ever so slightly back to his british accent. But the thing about it that bugged me was it felt really forced. I've seen that a couple of times with non American actors speaking with an American accent. Most of the time though I'm not bothered by non American actors speaking with an American accent. He was in an episode of Numb3rs a couple years ago too and was suppose to have an American accent but I gotta tell you I have no idea what kind of an American accent that was supposed to be, it just drove me nuts.
LOL, at the idea of Tess ending up in 1947 with Dr. Grant. I could see that happening though. :D

Date: 2010-07-10 04:43 pm (UTC)It was a bit strange...but strange accents when speaking English is normal to me since I hear so many speak it as a second or third language.
I don't know that thought just popped up and I like it XD

Date: 2010-07-10 04:57 pm (UTC)You might be right that we didn't get that over here. I recently read that the new show White Collar that I watch had a scene that aired in the pilot over seas but didn't air here in the US. Although in that case the scene shouldn't have been in there because it contradicts what is shown in a later episode. They probably filmed it and later changed their minds how they were going to do it so cut it out of the pilot but it somehow ended up in the final cut for the over seas airings.
