I guess I'm in the minority here because I liked the episode "Missing".

I'm not usually interested in character centric episodes, but I really liked Teyla in this episode. It was interesting to see her response to what happened to her people. She showed a dark violent side we've never really seen before. And for the first time I could really feel from her how this affected her.

I always had a hard time getting the feeling she was someone who had spent her life under the threat of the Wraith. I was sold with Teal'c in sg-1 right from the beginning. I could believe he lived for many years under Gua'uld authority. In this episode I really believed Teyla's rage and anger over what happened with her people. I could feel how alone she must have felt.

Keller was wimpy in the beginning and it did grate a bit until Teyla continued over that rope bridge leaving Keller on her own. Teyla's frustration with Keller reflected ours and I liked that. She didn't coddle Keller. And Keller was stronger in the end for it.

In the end I had no problem with the boys arriving and helping out. Because that's what they did, help out. Teyla and Keller were not damsels in distress. Was Ronon a damsel in distress when his team came to help him in Sateda? I don't think so. I'd say the girls were doing a pretty good job of holding their own until they got a little help.

I liked the last scene in the infirmary. For both interactions. Teyla and Sheppard and Teyla and Keller.

I liked seeing two very different female characters bonding like this.
