Ceiling fans and other irritations

sg_lab2There are four ceiling fans in my house operated by remote control. It's a wonderful thing...except when the lights and fans keep popping on through out the day.
Toby is seriously trying my patience lately. There's a space between the ceiling and the cabinets in my kitchen and Toby has figured out how to get up on the cabinets. There's a plant on the refrigerator he'll sit or stand in to get to the top of the cabinets and he has to eat off the plant before he goes all the way up.
And every time I go in the kitchen he shows up jumping on the counters.
Oh and today he jumped up on the furnace. Now that's not a big deal except for the fact that the water heater is right next to it and I'm afraid he'll jump on the water heater. That would be far more dangerous than being on the furnace.
